    “Bagatelles” is a one-act play which recounts the events of the murder of farmer John Wright. In the middle of the night, someone put a rope around his neck and strangled him to death. The only suspect is his silent and desperate wife, Minnie Wright. Throughout the play, Glaspell sees Mrs. Peter change her views on what is moral and immoral as she begins to find evidence in the house that indicates Mrs. Wright is guilty. I will tell the story of how Mrs. Peters changes her mind about what is moral during the play “Trifles.” Peter accompanied the sheriff, Hale's wife, Hale, and the county attorney to collect items to bring back to Mrs. Wright. "Mrs. Peters, the sheriff's wife, is "a slightly nervous woman [with] a thin, wiry face" (Mustazza 3). As Mrs. Peter moves around the house, she and Mrs. Hale begin to notice things which indicate that Mrs. Wright has a dark emotional life They try to pass the moments with civil conversation but they reveal that Mrs. Wright is a desperate housewife Unlike the men, who were looking for forensic evidence, they noticed....
