The 9.0 magnitude earthquake and tsunami struck many areas of Japan and destroyed everything in its path. The effects could be felt worldwide. Tsunamis have hit the Pacific coasts of many countries. Many people are dead, missing or homeless. People were living in shelters, without drinking water, electricity, telecommunications, etc. Japan is still recovering from the damage thanks to foreign aid.
