Getting vitamins and minerals from the foods we eat is essential for daily survival. Every year it costs five hundred and fifty dollars more to eat healthier. Five hundred and fifty dollars may not seem like much, but for those on low incomes, it's a crucial amount. Although a healthy diet is necessary to maintain a healthy weight, it is almost inaccessible to low-income people. Low-income people face the cost barrier to healthier choices in their daily lives.
