To many people, my mother was just a housekeeper, but to us, she was everything. My mother did not have the chance to complete her studies and receive a proper education due to the lack of money in her country. When my brother and I graduated from high school, I know my mother was proud of us. Being the first in our family to graduate from high school was a huge accomplishment. Now I'm going to college, working hard to succeed, and I owe everything to my mother. “She will always be a warrior and I am proud to be the product of her greatness” (Jacobsen, 45). She sacrifices so much for my brother and me. I admire him so much; I am the woman I am now because of her. Without his sacrifices, hard work and dedication, I would not be where I am today. Since I was little, she taught me to be independent and to work hard. She always pushed me to strive to improve and succeed. I owe everything to my mother. She came to the United States with nothing and is still a hardworking and humble woman. Everything I do is because of her. I want to be able to repay her for everything she has done for me. His sacrifices will be worth
