  • Essay / Student Savings Attitudes and Tactics

There are different ways for students to save money. One of these methods is to be disciplined, which involves shifting their own consumption to less expensive or less expensive items. This is beneficial for students who are tightening their budget and aiming to achieve short-term goals. The researchers conducted the study to be able to determine the students' attitude and tactics when it comes to saving. Research shows that money usage behavior can be affected by factors such as family lifestyle, education, age and gender. It also shows that parents influence their child's attitude and behavior, particularly in terms of money. Additionally, few surveys have been conducted with 40 students to fully understand students' financial awareness, behavior, and socialization experiences. The survey results indicate that students have different spending behaviors and different tactics for saving their money. Students face difficult challenges when entering college. Therefore, these students must learn how to manage their own money and live a simple life. They should know how to live within their limits and, if possible, try to avoid buying expensive gadgets and devices. Additionally, students should be wise when spending money, that is, try to spend only on necessary and important things rather than unimportant things. So it's better to make some sacrifices. Always keep in mind to keep some savings, as emergencies and necessities are unexpected and can arise at any time. Savings play a very important role in the development of the country, because they constitute the main source of investments which can generate more production and employment (Colayco, 2005).
