Essay / Cultural Diversity Events - 876
Cultural Diversity Events bring together many different cultural roots. When a person learns a lot about different cultures, cultural events are fun and very knowledgeable people learn a lot about their culture, which they did not know before attending the event. Many Pakistanis don't know their culture and religion, which is really bad. That's why these cultural events are organized to teach people who don't know their culture. When I arrived in the United States last year, in the fall of 2013, I felt a little strange, it wasn't just me, it was everyone who had come for the first time. At that time the environment was totally different for me as I came from another country with a totally different culture and environment. When I first attended my orientation in the United States, it seemed strange to me. In the orientation, they told us about the laws and rules of the United States, the culture and how things are done in the United States. There I learned a little more about the United States and its culture. But what scared me is that the laws, rules and regulations are so strict in the United States as compared to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Diving rules in the United States are strict compared to those in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Talking about the culture of Pakistan is unique and totally different from the world except India because Pakistan and India used to be one country. Cultural events in Pakistan have significant value and are celebrated with great passion. One of the most respected cultural events is the wedding. In Pakistan, weddings are celebrated with tradition and passion as it is one of the most precious events. In marriage we have four sub events Maiyun, Baraat, Valima and Mehndi. These are also subcultural events that fall under ...... middle of paper ...... come with flowers thrown at the couple as they enter the groom's house. Here is the photo of the baraat. After the baraat Valima takes place. Valima is the last day of the wedding hosted by the couple as they host their first dinner as husband and wife. this is traditionally organized by the groom's family. The groom's family, especially his parents, invite the bride's entire family and their guests to their home for a feast. Most often these days this takes place in a wedding hall or hotel. The Walima is generally the most festive event of the wedding ceremony and aims to publicize the marriage. The bride wears an ornate dress with gold jewelry provided by the groom's family. The groom normally opts for a formal western suit or tuxedo. It is during this ceremony that they are officially and publicly presented as a married couple..
