Inspiration comes from so many places, often places people don't even think about. People live their lives in contact with things that may have a large or small influence on their lives, but are nonetheless influential. For the most part, these are the people who have the most influence on someone's life. Many people think they are influenced in just one area such as social, professional or educational, but the best influences are those that combine all of these aspects of life. Dr. Koriakos, my dermatologist, paints the perfect portrait of a doctor and a person. Dr. Koriakos inspired me to become not only a great doctor, but also a great person who strives to live a life full of passion and deep knowledge in order to make a further impact on others. Dr. Koriakos has one of the best personalities I have ever come in contact with. Every time she enters the museum, Koriakos has proven herself through her education and medical career. She graduated Summa Cum Laud from Arizona State University, a feat I only hope to accomplish. It took so much time and dedication to complete this arduous education that a science student can and inevitably will. Dr. Koriakos also won numerous awards and served as chief resident during her time at the University of North Texas Health Science Center while completing her dermatology residency. One does not go through this long education without an intense dedication to oneself and the life that one wishes to impact. Countries around the world have been blessed by the time Dr. Koriakos invested in the medical missions she participated in. She has always supported Egypt, Mexico, Bolivia, Kenya and Tanzania, countries in which she helped during her travels. A doctor who has a heart for the world is a doctor who will change the world.
