The code of conduct for psychologists appears to be more strict or demanding. When you work as a psychologist or counselor, you are responsible for the lives of others. Failing to deal with a client according to standards could destroy the client's life and that of those around them. People entrust their lives, their thoughts and their care. The combination of codes should include all aspects of each domain. Although every profession treats the client the same way, they do not all care for the client the same way. Not all codes provide for disciplinary action for violations of a code. Combining all the codes would help memorize them all and make sure they were all followed. The downside would be that some roles in a profession are not the same, not all cases are the same except in the case of the psychologist role. The social worker may have more latitude to help clients in ways that the psychologist is not allowed
