You can rest easy knowing that you have presented to the best of your ability and that the board will now take this information and take the best possible decision for the company. Do not be discouraged if the board of directors does not allow itself to be swayed in your favor; A successful presentation is not often judged by whether you managed to convince the audience – at least in a boardroom. Perhaps the board has information that you don't have that advises them against making this decision. Instead, measure your success based on the personal goals you set for yourself when you walked into that room.
