Essay / A Look at Pop Culture - 1445
Pop CultureA variety of different genres make up what we read, listen to, and watch in society. Each theme tells a different aspect of how a book is told. These personal thoughts come from an individual's writing style. Their writings reflect what the theme is based on. Themes are categorized by different topics around the world. Each theme tends to reflect their society and the way history was written. Pop culture is an important topic that many people read about. It is a culture that describes the tastes and lifestyle of the majority of people in the world. Pop culture changes as generations form. Some examples include TV actors who are all adults or different types of music we listen to. Pop culture stories have had an impact on our society. Pop culture readings often attempt to persuade readers to see what opinions they should form. A story that is a good example is one by Christine Seifert called “Bite Me!” (Or not): Twilight as abstinence porn. This situation involved romantic couples without having sex. According to Seifert, she made a good point when she brought up Stephanie Meyers and her Twilight series. She talks about how Bella and Edward had a deep relationship, but as the series went on, there was no sex involved. Additionally, once they actually had sex, many readers were disappointed that Meyer added the sexual part of the relationship into the series. Most of her fans thought she did a good job of maintaining the sexual aspects of a relationship. From my point of view, I think it was a gr...... middle of paper ... it's true. The middle of the people would think one thing while the whole situation says another. The media should be credited for misinformation. This amounts to telling people that not everything the media says is true. The clothes we wear and the watches we look at reflect what helps us say who we really are. The media have a good taste in sharing with us their observations on the latest trends of the moment. We are able to adopt certain tastes in music and television shows because of our pop culture. Perhaps the easiest thing to do right now is to watch pop culture evolve into better things and see how it can be changed over time. Everything we feel around the whole tells us how we live. Without pop culture, people wouldn't know what they think about the future. It wouldn't be a good idea to categorize pop culture as a reputation among people.
