Essay / The Nightmare Maker - 1532
Chapter Four: He looked into my eyes as I listened to what he said. "So I think you're in serious danger with the other nightmare makers because they want to know what you're doing to overcome the dreamcatchers," he finished. I nodded slowly, feeling his eyes on me as I started walking towards my desk. "That's it!? You're not going to worry at all?" he asked me with a hint of anxiety in his voice. I looked up slowly after turning around. Once I met his gaze, there was a bit of humor in my voice as I said, “Worry? Why would I need to worry about something so small? » I could tell that my well-being obviously worried him, but if I was, I wasn't worried, he would have no reason to. Now if only I could convince him of it. I watched him go all the way inside and close the door behind him. This made me worry and wonder a little. He had never fully entered, let alone closed the door. “What’s wrong?” I asked him gently. He leaned against the wall and replied, "You're worrying me Jaura." I shook my head and said, "It's nothing I can't take care of myself." Besides, I'm not worried. » "That's why I'm worried! he shouted then continued, "If you're not worried, that means you won't realize how much danger you really are in!" » “If I were in danger, I would know,” I told him coldly. He shook his head, I guess he finally realized there was no reasoning with me. He grabbed my hand, then let go and slipped out the door as he entered. "Great! Now there's this feeling of insecurity in the back of my mind!" I didn't shout at anyone in particular. I realized I was talking to the shadows. I walked in circles and said to myself, "Don't worry, your magic is much stronger than those stupid 'fakes'."...... middle of paper... ... ed Alec. He began to hide in the shadows. It even freaked me out a little, there was something abnormal about them. They seemed stronger than normal. Their eyes weren't the normal yellow, but now they are all blackish in color. “RUN!” I yelled at Alec. He didn't need to be pushed or anything. He left without looking back. I started chasing after him, desperate to catch up. And so the suit gave way. I could hear my heart beating as I ran, I was sure I even heard Alec's too. I watched him carefully as he moved. Monitoring his every step, even counting them. And then he disappeared! Where did he go? I started to panic. What to do? Where to go? Should I find it? I almost made up my mind when something hit me in the head. I realized I had been there too long. They had caught up with me. Soon everything went black and I couldn't even hear their screams.....
