Extreme weather events, particularly storms, are becoming increasingly violent due to warming of the upper ocean layers, rising air temperatures, and higher evaporation rates. In the future, stronger snowstorms and rainstorms are expected to occur more often, and these storms may increase in intensity as the climate warms.
