Liberal feminism has taken the position that few or no significant differences separate the sexes (Maltin 6). The goal of this reasoning in feminism is equal rights and therefore the destination, gender equality. (Maltin 5) Passionate women took ingenious steps to advance their cause and secure these rights. However, by focusing on sameness, women limited their own identities. By recognizing gender differences, women have the opportunity not only to achieve greater equality, but also to create an environment conducive to their unique and exceptional enterprise with humanity. In a quest for equal rights with their male counterparts, the feminist movement has opened up new opportunities for women in many societies around the world. (Golombiski 90). Feminists lead the way for women's rights, challenge long-held cultural beliefs, create greater access to education and political arenas, and initiate change toward new ideals. (Golmbisky 90) Many areas of the workforce once dominated by men now include women through the efforts of individuals and a plethora of women's groups and organizations. (Golombsky 93). The benefits gained through feminism are based on a number of ideas that have been adopted philosophically. The motto of many types of feminism is based on the concept of gender equivalence, and for feminists this translates to the pursuit of gender equality. (NORA 260). Through this work, I realized that an inclusive approach is the most beneficial. This allows for an ongoing observational approach to shed new light on how we understand gender. This also allows one to receive and accept innate facets to develop instinctively. Receiving both attests to a holistic approach in a symbiotic relationship inclusive of both men and women. Additionally, feminists in this methodology can continue to eliminate unjust and harmful practices that will produce better treatment of women. Without neglecting their own innate differences, feminists can find the delicate balance of a multicultural approach. Otherwise, neglecting these qualities could create the very injustice that the feminist cause of justice seeks to radiate..
