Biography of Henry David ThoreauHenry David Thoreau was born on July 12, 1817. He was born in Concord, Massachusetts. He lived a wonderful life as a poet and essayist. Sad to say he died on May 6, 1862 in Concord. The first year of her life, her family moved away, but they also returned five years later. He grew up in a village and later attained manhood. His favorite things in the village were the woods, the streams and the meadows. He was the third child in his family. As his life expanded meeting new people, he became friends with Ralph Waldo Emerson. Emerson was also a poet and essayist. This made it easier for Thoreau to write. Their friendship began when Emerson moved to Concord during Thoreau's second year at Harvard. By 1837 they were great friends. Without Emerson's autonomy, he would still be Thoreau's friend. Emerson's company made Thoreau's career choice possible. In 1837, Emerson suggested that Thoreau keep a diary covering thousands of pages before his final entry two months before his death. He then polished some essays he had written in college, then wrote some poems. Everything was going very well until he moved. He moved to Walden Ponds. In Concord, Thoreau was involved in his family business of making pencils and graphite. By 1845, he grew tired of the family business, so he left and took the idea from one of his Harvard classmates who had built a water slide. When spring arrived, Thoreau chose a location near Walden Pond, a small glacial lake located two miles south of Concord. Thoreau's life moved on, and so did his house. Thoreau left Walden after he was past the peak of his career. His life was lost in the middle of the paper. His work has always been rich and full of details and complex contradictions. He appreciated everyone during his years of life. His favorite thing about writing books, essays, and poetry was using words to force his readers to rethink their own lives and obstacles in creative ways. He always spent his life rethinking his past and future actions and thoughts, asking questions to better understand concepts. He loved to turn to nature to find more intensity and meaning in his life. Henry David Thoreau was a wonderful person. He did not judge anyone for their actions that were wrong in his opinion. As already mentioned, he appreciated everyone, not just those who bought his books.
