    I don't think anyone would have ever guessed that transportation would have become a major factor in our lives. As the world's population continues to grow by the billions, transportation technology is forced to grow with it by changing and developing new ideas for the future to meet the growing population. The technology of new inventions dates back to the industrial revolutions, because in the 19th century, transportation began to undergo many positive changes. The invention of the telegraphic communication device helped to achieve positive results for transportation, which allowed them to gain even more momentum. The spectacular inventions of steam engines and rail transportation helped relieve the pressure on humans and animals. The rise and scale of the steam engine and rail transportation gradually intensified, allowing for specialization through manufacturing. The timely invention and development of the fuel engine and automobile around the 1900s, along with road transportation, was seen in a different light. Because of all this new transportation development, the first contemporary highways were built in the 19th century with even-sided broken stones called macadam.
