Therefore, improvement remains an option for those who are struggling. We found a solution from Dr. Salovey that can be applied in certain circumstances. For example, sharing traumatic and painful experiences is an important process for understanding one's own emotions (2005). Therefore, if we have or have had recognition issues, we can change this by recognizing our barriers. By doing this we can use our experience and apply it to others.
