  • Essay / Analysis of Beowulf's Conflicts - 1237

The three main conflicts he encounters are the battles with Grendel, Grendel's mother, and the dragon. He overcomes these conflicts with determination and strength. He accomplishes everything with confidence and determination in himself. Beowulf does not look at the strength of his opponents, but mainly at how he would be praised once he defeated them. He fights his battles with more pride than his rivals and at the same time for the good of the people. He not only fights for those in need, but more importantly to have his name known as a hero. In the end, he proves to be the hero he truly knows he is. He goes so far for others to see him, but it's about rising up to his belief, while everyone supports him.
