  • Essay / The positive and useful effect of technology on education

Contrary to popular belief, technology has contributed and still contributes to the improvement of education. Technology has had a tremendous impact on education systems, bringing major educational benefits to primary, secondary and university schools. As with all activities and technologies, there are positives and negatives. With email, text messaging, electronic grading systems, e-books, cell phones, and numerous online resources at their fingertips, teachers and students are able to accomplish their work and their tasks easier and faster. It also allowed parents to directly access their children's grades, homework assignments and teachers' grades via electronic media. The Internet has plenty of reliable, easily accessible information to help students in most situations. Although not all information found on the Internet is reliable, some websites are considered good sources. The general opinion of parents is that technology does not contribute to improving education and facilitating learning. This is a debatable topic because smartphones, portable music devices, and the Internet can distract students from their work. Although they can distract students, they can also provide many useful services and utensils. Many students are able to overcome these distractions and use devices to their advantage. For example, I use music to help me do my homework and study. It helps me concentrate more. Other people may do the same or have their own methods. With the help of technology, communication between students and teachers has become simpler and direct. Technology allows students with different learning styles to improve in their learning. Some students learn more through visual aids, others are oratorical, in the middle of a sheet of paper....... Graduate Student Instructor Teaching and Resource Center, nd Web.
