When she was little, she could only dream of becoming a veterinarian. She is now living her dream as a veterinary technician. “Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life” (Henry Hernandez). Being a veterinary technician is really a lot of fun as long as you have a passion for animals. One of the reasons to become a veterinary technician is because they meet new animals and care for them too. This career is very important because the welfare of animals is just as important as the welfare of humans (Vet Tech Guide Animals should be thought of as humans). just in a different form. Loving, respecting and comforting animals is only a small part of a veterinary technician's career; being detail-oriented, strong, and being educated are also very important qualities for a veterinary technician. Successful veterinary technicians are passionate about the animals they see every day and are able to control their emotions” (Career Cruising). The care of the animals is very important so that they do not feel threatened by the veterinary technician and do not scratch or bite. , or growl at them. Veterinary technicians must show their love of animals to patients and their owners. many animals will feel the emotions that people give off and the animal may react to that emotion in good or bad cases. A veterinary technician's job is to be calm and not show emotion to the patient and their family so that the family does not have emotional distress towards the clinic. The duties and responsibilities of a veterinary technician are to be able to work any day and any time, just like an EMT. Additionally, a veterinary technician must keep animals happy during their treatment at the clinic. “Every day I'm in surgery I go... middle of paper... strong and educated are very important qualities of a veterinary technician. Veterinary technicians are important to animal care. Animals can be very nervous and uncooperative when trying to do something they don't like.
