    My desire to study English at university is firmly rooted in my fascination with language choices. Language is so diverse and limitless that it has the power to define us as individuals and significantly influence our social identity. One word can create a thousand thoughts and emotions; I look forward to continuing my journey to discover how this change occurs in different contexts, across different time periods, and between different genres. During my studies, I learned to deepen the meaning of the language we use and how its adaptation can have different effects. My love for the English language was enhanced by the coursework aspect of my studies, this allowed me to apply my knowledge to an independent project where I was able to originally write in different genres, such as speeches and articles. I was able to adapt my language in order to successfully achieve an objective and engage a target audience. Currently I am working on a linguistic investigation focusing on the language used in children's novels, gathering data from different examples to analyze and draw conclusions....
