  • Essay / Nestlé SWOT and Marketing - 1294

SWOT analysis is one of the most valuable materials of a business. Each company creates its own chart. It shows the positive points of the company, called strengths and opportunities, and the negative points, which are weaknesses and threats. Basically, it is an overview of aspects of the business, what the company is good at, and what it should improve on. Two bottom boxes of the SWOT analysis chart show what threats the company needs to be aware of and what new upcoming opportunities it can obtain (SWOT analysis, nd, Investopedia, para 1). Nestlé's most recent SWOT analysis for 2013 provides a few issues in each box. Other data provided shows the analysis of specific countries and their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The strengths are very important on which the company can rely. They show what the company does best, its achievements. As one of the largest and most recognizable companies in the world, Nestlé has many strengths. The Nestlé company name is known almost everywhere and its products are used by millions of people every day. The brand's reputation is valued at $7 billion. In the food and beverage sector, this company offers a wide range of products, it operates 29 brands with more than 8,000 merchandise. These numbers and statistics make it difficult for other companies in the same industry to compete and overcome these results. (Strategic Management Insight, 2013, “Strengths” section, points 1.5). Throughout its existence, the company tries to achieve the best customer satisfaction by constantly improving products, as well as innovating new ones. In 2013, the company introduced new chocolate flavors, different packaging and changes in the shape of a product.
