    Before watching Hertzberger's lecture and interview with his studio classmates, his lecture opened at Crown Hall last week, I was not familiar with him or his theory. However, after meeting Herman Hertzberger, I realize that he is one of the world's treasure architects. His lecture and lesson for students makes me sincerely reflect on my thoughts and beliefs about architecture. In order to learn more about the lesson of 80-year-old architect Herman Hertzberger, I was determined to read his book, Lessons for Architecture Students, 010 Publishers, 2001. In the foreword essay , he says that “When discussing your own work, you must ask yourself what you have acquired from whom. Because everything you find comes from somewhere. The source was not your own mind, but the culture to which you belong.
