IntroductionApple Inc. is a multinational corporation based in America that innovates, develops and sells personal computers, its software named Macintosh and various other products like the iPhone and the iPad. In 1976, Steve Jobs launched the Apple era and the company quickly grew to become one of today's iconic inventors of consumer electronics. Although the company operates in a broad product area, Apple manages each of its products as a separate business unit, but with a similar and recognizable design. This report will focus on Apple's latest invention, the iPad, and analyze its market position and future prospects (Apple Inc., 2012).2. Internal Resources2.1Tangible Resources2.1.1Financial ResourcesApple is a multinational company with strong financial safeguards. They own various other business units, which provide Apple with a stable financial position. Thanks to Apple's financial stability, the company has sufficient working capital. This is why Apple has always been and still is able to open many stores around the world. Additionally, they operate an online store, in each country where they operate, for their e-commerce sector. After Jobs leaves, the company should focus on building new teams of experts and not just focus on management positions. Steve Jobs' lack of global vision could therefore be compensated for. Additionally, Apple should focus on exactly the things they are good at; Innovation. They should focus on developing new products and not just adding value to already existing products like they did with the iPad generations. In addition, they should think about increasing strategic alliances with other companies.
