Kairos by definition means a favorable time for a decision or action (Oxford University Press). This is true for the actions that the ONE campaign uses for its activism. This style of activism used by ONE is unique to the times we live in today, the concept of rallying people to lobby on their behalf is entirely based on their social media presence. It's how they inform the masses about the issues the world needs to address and how they put pressure on policy makers to ensure that adequate funding continues to reach the projects that are needed to help poor nations and communities. Analyzing the audience to which the ONE campaign is presented, the audience consists of those who want to improve society, especially those who have a large social media presence. This then transforms concerned members of society on social media into those who persuade policy makers to provide funding. These actions by the ONE Campaign get policymakers to listen because policymakers are supposed to listen and act on the concerns of their constituents. After analyzing the rhetorical appeals of the ONE campaign, they persuade their audience using the three means of persuasion, pathos, ethos, and logos.
