For example, the Washington-based Multilateral Lending Agency canceled 14 road contracts for roads and highways due to corrupt bidding in 2005. (Mahmood, 2010) Public procurement is highly recognized as a sector of activity which plays a considerable role in the successful management of public procurement. public resources and a number of countries are better informed that public procurement plays an important role and is one of the most vulnerable areas to management and corruption and therefore requires an institutional and strategic vision integrated into government.
