Since I was able to speak the language, I understood what the students were saying while also understanding the teacher. I really enjoy working with students and helping them, and I was able to do that, which was rewarding. I was also able to give a snack to a student who hadn't brought a lunch because I had it with me, and I thought she might need it more than me. Sometimes as people we don't think about the little things we do and how they add up, but I can tell that the smile on the girl's face and the way she slowly ate the snacks fruits to enjoy them meant everything to me. .
