Although many people may disagree with him due to his frankness and may accuse him of generalizing his feelings about service with those of everyone else, I agree that whether we agree or not, most of the feelings he describes about service are accurate. I agree that the service is not simple. The service may seem simple because it seems that all people need to do is simply go to where help is needed, put a smile on their face and they are good to go. There is much more to this. Just like CS Lewis said, service is about relationships with others and with God, and that's definitely not the case.
