    After the removal of President Gaddafi, Libya has since sought humanitarian aid due to the burgeoning war of militias operating in the country. New members of the European Union such as Slovakia, Poland and Hungary were initially praised for adopting democratic models in governing bodies. However, ten years later, the new members have been criticized for their abuse of power and human rights abuses. The government has indicated its desire to repress human rights activists. Hungary, in particular, has faced criticism due to worsening human rights violations compared to the former communist state. Although coups declined in the late 20th century, developing countries like Thailand, Niger, Fiji, and Bangladesh, among others, experienced a military takeover. During the seizure period, millions of civilians lost their lives while others were displaced from their homes. Adolescents are the majority victims since they are absorbed as soldiers. The Central African Republic (CAR) and South Sudan are among the warring states so far.
