Abraham Maslow, a psychology researcher, contributed to the field of science by analyzing how motivations are organized in a hierarchy and described the formula of a personality healthy. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a systematic arrangement of needs, according to priority, in which basic needs must be met before less basic needs are aroused. Many steps are organized in the hierarchy; from fewer and fewer basic needs at the top of the pyramid, towards a regression of lower needs which are not satisfied at the bottom of the pyramid. The lowest step of the pyramid, physiological needs, is defined as the most basic needs necessary for the maintenance of the body, such as hunger, thirst, etc. (Weiten, 2013). One of the people who filled that need was Joe. He was taken to hospital for an immediate blood transfusion because his white blood cell count had dropped significantly, which could lead to infection. This is an example of physiological needs because going to the hospital is maintaining the human body, which is extremely necessary for survival (Walker & George,
