Essay / The Actions of Mathilde Losiel - 1244
Life is a treasure chest full of surprises which constitutes the outgoing events of love, envy, joy, sorrow and irony. In the short story The Necklace, Madame Losiel is the wife of a poor employee of the Ministry of Education who thought of luxury (The Necklace). Since she caught the attention of readers with her old-fashioned features, she was also in the eye of the beholder (The Necklace). The narrator described her physical features using imaginative adjectives such as “pretty” and “charming” (The Necklace). Madame Losiel was considered a beautiful young woman, but she did not understand the importance of life (The Necklace). She spent time thinking about how lucky she wanted to be, but didn't think about the importance of being grateful for her natural blessings. Madame Losiel was constantly moving from sorrow to happiness and was dissatisfied with herself, inside and out. Madame Losiel had the mindset of a helpless teenager. At the beginning of the story, she was unhappy with herself (The Necklace). She felt like she was supposed to live in a filthy apartment, have about one or two outfits, and marry a low-income husband (The Necklace). There aren't many people in the world who don't have what she has. Marriage united Madame and Monsieur Losiel, and although they were not rich, Madame Losiel's misfortune gradually affected him. She was even lucky enough to own a house and a supportive husband (The Necklace). It is obvious that she does not accept her husband because she constantly fantasizes about rich men wanting to please her at a formal evening in her "imaginary" house (The Necklace). Monsieur Loisel, tried hard to please his beloved wife (Le Collier...... middle of paper ......ected her husband, herself and her friend, Madame Forestier. She must understand that wonderful things would not last forever, but what would her life be like if she wasn't materialistic? Maybe when her husband came home from work, she would welcome him with open arms. She would love to live in his house. she already, and above all, would accept herself as she is as a wife, friend and herself a kind-hearted and very kind woman She would not have to work for the necklace and if. she was not comfortable in her house, she would live in it, she would look for a domestic job in another family house When it comes to her husband, she would give him more gifts to make him happy. .
