    Comparing LeBron James and Michael Jordan is like comparing apples and oranges. It's just not a fair comparison. There are too many differences. There are too many variables. There are too many mistakes involved to make a fair assessment and determine who is the greatest basketball player of all time. Unfortunately, the comparison seems to be made every day, and Mr. Mathis' article is full of misleading elements. His extreme use of exaggeration and card stacking, along with numerous harsh examples of hasty generalizations, assert that Michael Jordan is and always will be the greatest basketball player. An opinion is simply an opinion and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but using fallacies to formulate your answer to the question makes it too limited and too biased in favor of Michael Jordan. There are so many clear and dramatic exaggerations throughout the article. Michael Jordan is described as "the most unstoppable assassin of all time, the smartest marketer of all time", and then sarcastically referred to as "the savviest shoe salesman of all time" (Mathis , para. 2). He then goes on to describe how Michael "floated in the air and levitated to the edge" as the city of Chicago "praised the former Bulls megastar as a messiah" (par. 3-4). How much more exaggerated could one person be when describing Michael Jordan? I didn't know people could levitate and float. And when did Jordan become a “messiah”? He is not a God who can do impossible things as it is implied he could do by being called "messiah". The things he did were impressive to watch, but LeBron also has some undeniable impressive moments.
