I didn't want to appear ignorant or ask too simple a question. Yes, I've heard of the saying "there's no such thing as a stupid question", but I felt like we've all, at some point, heard a stupid question. Before asking a question, I made sure to review everything, maybe pause and come back to it, Google the answer, and even ask another intern. If this doesn't lead me to a solution, I will ask for help. When I asked for help, I made sure to follow all the steps to let my team and those I worked with know that I had put effort into trying to resolve the answer myself. This technique proved useful since I was able to detect my own error 50% of the time, but I wonder how much time I wasted relying on my knowledge instead of just searching for information.
