Augustus had succeeded him as the true leader of the Roman religion. After a year, Augustus had lost his memorable expert advisor and a huge literary client. Tiberius, stage nephew of Augustus, was chosen to share Augustus' tribunician power in 6 BC. In the year 4 AD, Augustus understood that he had to make Tiberius his beneficiary. He thus received Tiberius as his child. This implied that Tiberius expected to adopt Germanicus, the child of his brother Drusus. With this new power through Tiberius, this essentially made him an equivalent to Augustus. Augustus then began to consider his age; he was no longer the young general of yesteryear. Around AD 13, Augustus had to regain his strength for another 10 years. However, would it last these 10 years? Tiberius soon became the equivalent of Augustus in all established points of interest. Augustus deposited his will in the Vestal Virgins' apartment in Rome. It contained an overview of the estate's naval strength and financial assets. His astute political testimony known as “Res Gestae Divi Augusti” (“Demonstrations of the Divine Augustus”). On August 19, 14 AD, Augustus Caesar, the essential ruler of the Roman kingdom, had thrown a spanner in the works. On September 13, the Senate made Augustus lord of the Roman state. Today, Tiberius, the lovechild of Augustus, became the second ruler of the Roman Empire.
