    In the field of higher education, the use of technology has introduced a variety of legal and ethical issues. The reality of cyberbullying has expanded the risk of harassment and assault, within the definition of bullying, to include the ever-changing world of cyberspace (Minor et al., 2012). Previously, the existence of such harmful acts was the focus of K-12 educators, who broke into the academic environment. This exhibit highlights the need to create policies and take actions to ensure student well-being beyond the supposed confines of campus. Additionally, programs aimed at promoting ethical use of technology by students and staff can better prepare institutions to ensure best practices. Throughout the following article, the issue of cyberbullying will be expanded and supported by the combination of trials, developed results and suggestions for further application in higher education.BackgroundSince the 1970s, bullying has is the subject of constant attention in the literature due to its strength in aggression and harassment within peer associations. Bullying involves “constant exposure to negative actions, introduced by one or more opposing individuals, in which implications intended to harm physical or emotional well-being” are reinforced (Minor et al, 2013, p. 16; Olweus , 2012, p. The implications of such actions produce a negative environment that fosters unhealthy relationships between everyone involved. These actions are committed through the production of physical violence in terms of violent acts such as shoving or punching; and psychological violence in terms of rumors, taunting and exclusion (Dogruer and Yaratan, 2014; Minor et al., 2011).
