School leaders must follow procedures while evaluating on a case-by-case basis to make effective decisions. Students should not pay the price for adult laziness. Unlimited resources are available on the Internet to help educators and administrators do their ethical, legal, and contractual work. As leaders, we must coach others to understand the differences and needs of our students. We must be proactive, assertive and culturally aware to help. We must remember that students are not just numbers on a list, they are human beings who will have to live in a real world and we have the power to change their lives for the better or better.
