  • Essay / Perón's Economic Goals - 2159

Survey PlanThe survey answers the following question: To what extent was Juan Domingo Perón successful in achieving his economic goals? Perón's main economic goals included economic independence for Argentina, increased employment and growth of industry, and a reduction in the gap between rich and poor. To assess the extent to which he achieved these economic goals, the investigation will examine the short- and long-term effects of his industrial reforms and policies, his five-year plan to industrialize Argentina, and his nationalization of the economy, which are all methods he used to achieve his objectives. This investigation will also examine the main obstacles to its success, among them the reluctance of the United States and Britain to allow Argentina's independence, as well as the negative effects of Perón's five-year plan. To do this, we will take into account the Twenty Truths speech of the Justicialist Movement, as it shows Perón's economic goals and some of the methods he used to implement his economic policy.
