  • Essay / Essay on Unemployment in Spain - 1202

Will Spain ever repair its economy like it is now? Spain has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world and is slowly stabilizing its economy with new solutions and taking care of some areas it needs to fix. Spain has been going through many difficulties and has asked neighboring countries to help it deal with the pressure it is under with unemployment as high as it is now. Spain is on the path to either destruction or stabilization and it all depends on a decision it makes. The main way for the government to fix its economy or its unemployment rate is to take into account the needs of the population. Spain has a corrupt economy and it has had to focus mainly on its unemployment rate so that it can be corrected quickly. “Spain has a dual labor market” which helps them recover from unemployment but does not help everyone (Abend). “Job destruction and labor force growth” are beginning to increase and stabilize, with people now returning to work and supporting their families to make ends meet (Abend). “The unemployment rate affects young people more than older people” (Schuman). “Young people are always afraid” of entering the job market from the start of their employment (Schuman). This shows that “Spain lacks jobs and lacks experience due to unemployment” (Schuman). Young people are not working and do not know what it is like to work due to the incredibly high unemployment rate. The Spanish government said: “Even during the years of prosperity, when everyone was so triumphant, some of us said that it is not only the quantity of jobs that counts, but also the quality” (Abend ). This shows that ...... middle of paper ...... that "Spain is about to return to its usual ways, where it will have a healthy economy and young people who now have jobs, who I now have experience in the job market.” I think Spain can reduce its unemployment rate if it works to help people by creating jobs for them and fixing supply and demand, which is the import and export of l Spain which helps their economy. The government will then be able to pay the people and reduce the unemployment rate in Spain, and young people will be able to have jobs and a better life. The only way for Spain to combat this crisis is to receive aid from the European Union and other neighboring countries to help it persist. One of the most important things the government system does is always discover the problems it has in its country and put an end to them quickly..
