    INTRODUCTION“Resource” is any economic or productive factor necessary for the accomplishment of an activity or from which a profit is produced. Proper utilization of natural resources as well as human resources is an important key. to the economic and social development and strength of any nation. There are two types of resources. 1) Natural Resources 2) Human Resources Many developing countries like America use their natural resources to their fullest, which is an important key to their great economic strength. However, unfortunately, non-developing countries like Pakistan are not utilizing their natural resources in a manner to achieve optimum results capable of meeting the demands of increasing population growth. Here we will discuss which natural resources of Pakistan are being exploited and how their utilization can be made more efficient.Key Resources of PakistanThe three key resources of Pakistan are: 1) Coal 2) Cotton 3) Oil and Gas COAL For a very long time, coal has been used as an important source for energy production, such as the production of electricity and heat. It is also used on an industrial scale for metal refining. Pakistan has the fourth largest coal reserves in the world. Pakistan's largest coal reserves are in Sindh, which is around 184.623 billion tonnes. Coal reserves are also found in Punjab, Balochistan and KPK. There are a number of power plants in Pakistan based on coal as raw material. Pakistan's total installed power generation capacity was 21,000 MWH in 2011. But this amount is not enough to overcome the annual electricity demand, as the amount of electricity produced from water It's not a great value either. Currently, more than 200 packaging factories are in operation with a production of approximately 8,000 tonnes per day. Pakistan exported 268,741 tonnes of fruits worth US$ 79.83 million during 2000-2001, which is increasing every year. Improvements: Pakistan is one of the largest producers and exporters of oranges in the world. Here are some ways to improve the orange industry: 1) Seeds should be provided at the cheapest rate and in good quality which would encourage more and more farmers to cultivate this plantation and thus increase the growth annual.2) Fruits exported should be of best quality to get maximum benefit from the crop.3) Government should take appropriate measures to maintain a good balance between prices for the seller and the buyer. 4) Insecticides should be supplied at the cheapest rate so that the farmer earns maximum profit..
