Founded in Hamilton, Ontario in 1964, Tim Horton's focuses on high quality, always fresh products, value, excellent service and community leadership, which allowed it to become the largest fast food chain in Canada. specializing in always fresh coffee, baked goods and homemade breakfasts. Tim Horton's includes everything on the list of commitments, including non-discriminatory hiring, promotion and retention practices, implementation of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities Act of Ontario, the environment environmental issues, customer relations and supplier relations. Starting with environmental issues and supplier relationships, Tim Horton's embraces green building design; The company requires its Canadian millwork suppliers to use only Forest Stewardship Council certified wood in Canadian restaurants. By expanding recycling and waste diversion programs at its distribution centers, it currently diverts 80% of its waste from landfills. But as consumer tastes have evolved, so have the choices offered at Tim Horton's. Tim Horton cares about its customers so much that it is willing to allow people to purchase the product outside the Tim Horton restaurant so that guests can also enjoy these tasty products at home. In addition to their regular stand-alone restaurants, Tim Horton's locations are also found in shopping malls, highways, universities and hospitals, providing significant visibility for the chain. Most standard Tim Horton's locations offer 24-hour drive-thru service, catering to consumers on the go. Before achieving this goal, Tim Horton's had given one of its camps the attention of young Aboriginal people. Tim Horton's offers a variety of local programs that allow them to either raise awareness, show how proud they are of their community, or simply show their appreciation activities like free skates, free swims, the Win a bike, food drives, buying a cookie to help make a difference, Timbits minor sports programs, littering and Remembrance Day awareness programs. Tim Hortons does so much to help its community, whether it's raising awareness, sponsoring, or simply showing appreciation for its community. Their main goal is to show that they care.
