“Whoever adheres to my Sunnah, when my Umma is corrupt, will have the reward of a hundred martyrs. » The word Islam is derived from the verb aslama which means “to lean on, to abandon”. Thus, Islam can be translated, in the religious context and willed by God, as “Responding to the will or law of God”. It therefore follows that the word Muslim designates one who “submits to the will of God”. Islam also has the derivative word Salam which means "peace", a natural consequence of total submission to God. This is the message that is the greatest among divine revelations, as indicated in many surahs of the Quran: Surah 12, verse 40 “Power belongs to God. He has commanded you to worship only Him. This is the right religion; but most people don't know that. » For centuries, the Muslim faith has struggled to create a “good” society on earth; the importance of Islam in their worship of Allah and the mission of their prophets to ensure this from humanity; through the spiritual and moral lessons taught by the Quran, there arises a community built through the word of their God and the messages of Muhammad. Many people have struggled to follow their faith as times and ways of doing things have changed, while still adhering to the requirements and moral values found in the Quran. The Quran states that “A man receives only what he strives for; that his efforts will be judged, and only then will he receive his full reward. » (53: 39-41). Suggesting that Muslims should continue to struggle for their final blessing. How to maintain this faith and remain a devout Muslim in this transforming 21st century has proven to be a challenge.
