    This assignment will discuss a critical analysis of two articles that will be used in my research proposal. As requested, I will review two articles that will represent the following: both articles require two distinct research disciplines of qualitative and quantitative methods; furthermore, articles must represent two paradigmatic hypotheses; the selected articles are part of quantitative and post-positivist, and qualitative and constructivist methods and paradigms; each article will be analyzed to review the critical analysis methodology; Research questions; Use of theory or other frameworks; Definitions, boundaries and meaning; Methods and procedures; Quality & Rigor; Researcher & Positionality. The analysis will provide a combined analysis of the two articles reviewed.Critical Analysis MethodologyThe first peer-reviewed journal article is titled “Race Is Not Neutral: A National Inquiry into African American and Latino Disproportionality in school discipline” (Skiba, Horner, Chung, Karenga-Rausch, May and Tobin, 2011). The purpose of the article speaks to the disproportion of minority students who are disciplined more frequently and with harsher sanctions. It has also been reported that cultural mismatch leads to teachers' poor judgment of minority students. The investigation confirmed that records and statistical analyzes indicated that discipline was applied at disproportionate levels. This article is part of quantitative and post-positivist research methods and paradigms. The second peer-reviewed article is titled “Integrating Cultural Competence and Core Values: An International Model of Service-Learning (Hayward & Charrette, 2012).
