My job is to be an architect. I feel like being an architect is a job I would like to do. It takes a lot of commitment and desire to become an architect. I like this job because you can be your own boss, people respect you, you can have a positive impact in people's lives and you can have a lot of free time. Architects are also ethical and responsible. I am also very creative, being creative allows you to create structures that have never been done before. You could also win commission competitions for large projects you have completed. You also have to be responsible and kind to people. The history of this quarry dates back to the Greek people (200 BC) who used plaster, clay and bitumen to build and construct walls which they connected to form a building. They began building using mud to make gypsum, plaster, clay and bitumen. The first trained architect was Benjamin Latrobe who moved to the United States in 1796. He has been called the father of American architecture since his death in 1820 from yellow fever. In the 1800s, anyone qualified could become an architect. They followed their training at the Ecole des Beauty-Arts. The AIA (American Institution of Architects) was founded on February 23, 1857. Charles Eliot Norton was the president of the AIA at its founding. It also aspired to the scientific and practical development of its members. In 1857, Illinois was the first state to adopt licensing for architects. Approximately 141,200 people are employed in architecture in the United States. The median salary for an architect is $35.14 per hour. The number of people in this career has increased in science since 2002. There are more men than women in this career. I like it because you have a lot of free time and I will be able to spend a lot of time with my family. I will be able to attend all of my children's sporting events. This job meets my needs and I feel that I will be successful in this career field. This job will allow me to raise a successful family. I will also eventually become my own boss and own my own business. Being a boss allows you to supervise your entire crew, plan your own schedules, and set the pay of other crew members. If you work hard, you can retire at any age, depending on your health. If you are in poor health, you can retire early and stick to a retirement plan. Most architects remain healthy throughout their careers. Additionally, most architects have families and are successful in life. My life plan is to pursue this career, start my own business, raise a family and be successful..
