    Ethics in Business, in my opinion, is a good thing for business. The term ethics, according to Understanding Business, refers to the standards of moral behavior, that is, behavior accepted by society as right or wrong (Nickels, 2013). From a consumer's point of view, the ideal would be to interact with an ethically committed company. My personal view regarding an ethically correct company would inspire confidence in the company. If I knew they weren't handling things internally or externally the right way, my perspective and opinions would diminish. When a company practices good ethics, it informs your customers of the decisions made. According to 21st Century Business Ethics, “I recognized that businesses, by being socially responsible, can show that they care about the community, the environment and people. The company could host fundraisers, help donate to charity, volunteer, promote service for the benefit of others, or any other act of kindness to show that they have a big heart. According to the Edward Lowe Foundation, “giving back to the community through charitable fundraising or other worthy causes helps improve the business” (Conroy, 2012). For example, a company like Kohl's offers a program called Associates in Action. This program allows employees to serve for a variety of different programs to show that everyone can make a difference. This is good because it promotes their business in a positive light and shows their concerns about the environment. This would be beneficial internally for businesses so they know what is going on within their business. An example would be if an employee knew that another employee was stealing from the company, that informed employee would let their superiors be notified to handle the situation properly and fairly. It also refers to good ethics in a company's treatment of employees. A supervisor should also inform his or her employees if something is wrong or if they have personally messed up something while being supervised. If the entire company is morally correct, its ethics must simply be followed, creating a climate of cohesion.
