My personal goal in this profession is to make every effort to help these people find ways to meet their needs. After spending about a year volunteering at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and completing two field placements at local hospitals, I discovered that my best work is done with the elderly population. I regularly attend workshops and continue my education outside of required coursework, as this effort contributes to my wealth of knowledge about geriatric social work and the tasks required by the profession. I am filled with excitement and eagerness to begin the transition from student to professional, and I appreciate your consideration in helping me achieve my goal..
