    Imagine a community filled with over 4,000 disabled or immobilized citizens. A single physiotherapist treats approximately this number of patients each year (Canale, Terry S). It is very clear that physiotherapists play a crucial role in our society. A physical therapist is my dream job because you can specialize in a wide variety of specialties, enjoy job security, and have the opportunity to make a difference. Being a physiotherapist allows for a wide range of specialties as well as flexible but busy employment. calendar. There are five main types of therapy that most therapists specialize in: orthopedic, geriatric, neurological, pediatric, and cardiovascular/pulmonary rehabilitation. Each of them focuses on a specific part of the human body. There is a minimum number of jobs that allow people to decide exactly what they want to become expert at. With so many options to choose from, it's almost guaranteed to find at least one field that's fun to work in. Most physical therapists have a somewhat flexible schedule. They still have the flexibility to travel, working in different locations daily and/or seeing new patients frequently. When always on the go, therapists may have the opportunity to take a break, either while in the car driving to a new location or simply passing from patient to patient. This allows, at some point, to rest and refresh the mind, because with a schedule like this it is always busy. Being constantly faced with new problems and a new environment is good for one's health and also keeps one engaged in what they are doing. Not only that, but staying busy also helps with their fitness. There are many benefits to working with a physical therapist, including treating an injury or preventing one from occurring. This will save them time and money. A physical therapist is a great career choice because of the many specialties to choose from, job security, and the opportunity to make a difference every day. Not all of you may think about the importance of a physical therapist, but that’s what makes it special. They don't need recognition, their hard work is demonstrated through all the people they continue to improve every day.
