3. What are Sonic's target markets? Explain. Determining the target market for the product is integral to the success of marketing efforts. The question must be asked: “What are Sonic’s target markets?” The Sonic 1000 PDA is marketed to the 25 to 40 age group. These are working professionals who use these products on a daily basis. The Sonic 1000 is designed to make users' lives easier. These professionals lead busy, fast-paced lives. Any device that can make the day easier is a welcome addition. Kotler and Keller argue that the target market should be the one “that offers the greatest opportunity” (Kotler and Keller, 2009). This definition describes the target market for the Sonic 1000 well.
