The only system used before the 19th century was the postal system, and it took several days depending on the distance between the sender and the recipient. But today, thanks to access to the Internet, you can communicate with people in seconds, no matter where they live or the distance between the sender and the recipient. Back then, the US military used the Internet and communications equipment to communicate with its far-flung soldiers on the battlefield, but today we can see more than 70% of the world's population using these equipment.
