Essay / Essay on Euthanasia - 2318
What is euthanasia? Euthanasia involves deliberately ending a person's life to relieve their pain. This usually happens when a person is terminally ill or in a lot of pain and there are no other options for pain relief. Most of the time this is due to the person's own request, but sometimes it happens when they cannot speak. for himself and family members must decide for them. Euthanasia is really not a bad thing and it should be legalized in my opinion. Forms of Euthanasia: Euthanasia comes in different forms, some of which are discussed below: • Active and Passive Euthanasia In active euthanasia, a person deliberately causes the death of the patient whereas, as in passive euthanasia, they don't really take the patient's life, they just let them die. Passive euthanasia can be done in two ways: o Stopping treatment, where you stop the machine that is keeping the person alive, or o Stopping treatment, where you do it. do not perform the procedure that could prolong the patient's life. • Voluntary and involuntary euthanasia: Voluntary is when the person decides for themselves that they want to end their life. On the other hand, involuntary euthanasia occurs when the person is unable to decide for themselves and someone else, a loved one, decides for them. • Indirect euthanasia: indirect euthanasia consists of administering drugs that hasten the death of the patient. in cases where the person who is going to die needs help to kill them and asks for it. This may be as simple as providing medication to that person. What people say in favor of euthanasia: A person's life depends on their own will. This is a private matter and no one except this person has the right to decide whether this should be allowed or not! You can... middle of paper ...... about Pakistan, where I live there at the moment there are very less hospitals that provide proper care to patients and if the beds of Hospitals were filled with such patients, so other people whose illnesses could be cured would not be treated properly. These hospitals are very expensive. Most people here cannot afford that much money to bear the cost of such expensive treatments that can keep them alive until their time comes. There are no palliative care specialists in this country and the government is also not in favor of such a thing so far. ! If there is no proper palliative care in this country, then at least euthanasia should be allowed so people don't suffer as much. They deserve to die in peace. Euthanasia should be permitted and granted only after consultation with at least two doctors, after which the patient should be allowed to end their life..
