    The issue I have chosen to discuss is euthanasia. Euthanasia is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as “the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful illness or in an irreversible coma.” Euthanasia sparks much debate around the world and is illegal in most countries, such as Australia. Euthanasia is considered by many people to be assisted suicide, or in some religions, such as Christianity, life is a gift from God. Death processes must therefore not be disturbed and no human has the power to kill an innocent person, even if it is their choice to walk away. However, some people don't see it that way. They choose to view euthanasia as the choice of the one considering taking such measures. They believe that we should have a right to our own bodies, and that if you are forced to live longer than you choose, it is a disregard for personal freedom. Legalizing euthanasia is a slippery slope, and many argue that it should not be legalized. Like the majority of people, religions also have very strong opinions on euthanasia.....
