  • Essay / Technology in the Classrooms - 642

To help improve academic performance at Jackson High School, the district should provide more technology in the classrooms. We should put iPads in every classroom we have. We should also be able to use our cell phones. Technology has advanced over the years and our school district should be up to date on its tools. There are several reasons why we should install these devices in our classrooms. One of the materials that we should get in our school is the iPad. This would help us become more organized with all of our topics. A freshman at a Michigan high school said, “It helped us become more organized. » “We don't lose papers. It's all in our iPad. (Black-smith). Students should be able to bring their own devices to school. This would help them become more organized and help them prepare for college. However, in doing so it could also save our school money. This would save our school money by not having to purchase an iPad for every student if they already have one. For example, if every student had one, they wouldn't be able to make excuses for not completing their homework or essays. At a Michigan high school, a staff member said the iPad program has allowed students to be more engaged in the lessons they are learning. It also gave him more time to teach students and less time for management skills (Smith). It has even allowed teachers to assign class work, tests, and it helps students communicate with each other (Smith). Second, our school should be able to have portable telephone devices. This could allow students and teachers to have an agenda available. It could also contain reminders, surveys and blogs to help them (Davis). A staff member said: “Mobile phones can save us money. They are almost ubiquitous... middle of paper ...... How can these devices be paid for? This could be done in the form of grants and we could organize fundraisers throughout the year to finance them. In particular, we may raise funds during sports matches and other events. Overall, technological devices should be out of the way in our classrooms and daily lives.
